Q4 Services is now an authorized reseller of products by Projection Design, a manufacturer of high performance, application-specific digital light processors (DLP) projectors. Q4 will focus on supporting the Flight Training marketing, supplying input to design as the product line continues to expand.
The projector lineup includes models with up to 10,000 lumens brightness using a 3-chip DLP design, includes WUXGA output or 1080p resolution. Projection Design has developed a revolutionary advanced optical color processing technology using their RealColor color management with DynamicBlack. By combining fixed and motorized optical filters for each color channel, the projector can be optically calibrated with near infinite accuracy. It also means that by the flick of a switch, the projected color gamut can change from standard computer graphics optimized, to either REC709 (High Definition programming) or a P3 color gamut that complies with strict DCI color specifications. This is without any loss of bit depth, as the compensation is purely optical, and not electronic. Unlike competing projectors, where color calibration is based upon a simple yellow notch filter to change the green point of the picture, or simply by changing electronic values, ACOP is vastly superior in all aspects.
Thanks to its complex and robust build and construction, the projectors require very little maintenance and in-life servicing. There are no user serviceable parts inside, and it does not have any filters or other parts that need periodical replacement, decreasing the likelihood of requiring a costly and high frequency maintenance contract.
