Q4 has a long history of supporting the AMC KC135 fleet of training devices for the U.S. Air Force. Utilizing their innovative rear projection screen manufacturing techniques, Q4 has successfully delivered the product on schedule to multiple U.S. Air Force facilities around the world.
CAE selected Q4 to refurbish 17 rear projection screens and supply 19 new metalized film mirror controllers for the KC-135 fleet of training devices.
As part of the refurbishment program, Q4 was selected to carry out a technology update of the legacy film mirror controller system. Utilizing Q4’s market-leading Digital Mirror Controller Unit (DMCU), the upgrade provided safe and highly accurate vacuum control, ensuring optimum collimation performance of the optical display units on the KC-135 training platform.
